QUALITY CONTROL
RELIABILITY TEST
Description: Evaluate the activities performed to maintain the functional reliability of the product in all environments such as intended use, transportation or storage during the specified life period. By using various environmental test equipment to simulate high temperature, low temperature, high temperature and high humidity, and temperature changes in the climate environment, the situation of the reaction product in the use environment is accelerated to verify whether it meets the expected quality in R&D, design, and manufacturing. Target, so as to evaluate the product as a whole to determine the product reliability life.
Applications: all semiconductor devices

Introduction to Reliability Testing
Reliable testing refers to the determination and verification of product reliability through tests. Research identifies product weaknesses with limited sample, time, and cost of ownership. Reliability test is a general term for various tests conducted to understand, evaluate, analyze and improve product reliability.
The test conducted to measure, verify or improve product reliability is called reliability test, which is an important part of product reliability work.
Common Reliability Testing Service Items
Random vibration test, mechanical shock test, free drop test, high and low temperature test, salt spray test, sinusoidal vibration test, damp heat test, low temperature test, mold, light aging, etc. Reliability testing has a wide range and can be divided into environmental reliability and fatigue durability testing. Including climate, temperature, humidity, drop, salt spray, shock, etc.
The purpose of reliability testing
(1) Make the product reach the predetermined reliability index in the development stage. In order to make the product reach the predetermined reliability index, it is necessary to conduct a reliability test on the sample during the development stage, so as to find out the problems existing in the product in terms of raw materials, structure, process, environmental adaptability, etc., and make improvements. After repeated tests And improvement, we can continuously improve the reliability indicators of the product to meet the predetermined requirements.
(2) Reliability identification is carried out when the product is developed and finalized. When a new product is developed and finalized, it is necessary to carry out appraisal tests according to product standards (or product technical conditions) in order to comprehensively assess whether the product meets the specified reliability indicators.
(3) Control the quality of the product during the production process. In order to produce products stably, it is sometimes necessary to carry out reliability tests on the items specified in the product technical conditions for each product. In addition, it is necessary to carry out reliability sampling tests batch by batch or according to a certain period of time. Through the reliability test of the product, the stability of the product quality can be understood. If the product quality declines due to poor raw material quality or out-of-control process, it can be reflected in the product reliability test, so that corrective measures can be taken in time to restore the product quality to normal.
(4) Screen the products to improve the reliability level of the whole batch of products. Reasonable screening can eliminate early failure products caused by various reasons (such as defective raw materials, improper process measures, negligence of operators, failure of production equipment, and lax quality inspection, etc.), thereby improving the reliability of the entire batch of products Level.
(5) Study the failure mechanism of the product. Through product reliability tests (including simulation tests and on-site use tests), we can understand the failure modes and failure laws of products under different environments and stress conditions. Through the analysis of the failed products, we can find out the internal causes of product failure (ie, the failure mechanism) and the weak links of the products, so that corresponding measures can be taken to improve the reliability level of the products.
